Spaghetteria Del Mercato is one of those Italian restaurant gems you stumble upon in the heart of La Spezia, and from the moment you step onto Piazza Cavour, 5, you can already tell you’re in for something special. Right away, the vibe feels authentically Italian, relaxed yet lively, with the kind of warmth that makes you want to pull up a chair whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a long, lingering meal. Walking through the doors, the aroma of freshly made pasta and rich tomato sauce greets you like an old friend, and it’s easy to see why locals and travelers alike draw here for both onsite services and the classic dine-in experience. Of course, if you need something to take with you as you explore the city, takeout options are available too, which makes it super convenient when you’re on the go.

Inside, the atmosphere keeps things casual and inviting, and the menu feels like a celebration of Italian comfort food done right. Their spaghetti dishes are the star of the show, each plate crafted with care and balanced flavors that reflect the passion of Italian cooking. Yet there’s more than just pasta to enjoy - whether you’re craving something light and healthy or looking to indulge in a richer, more savory dish, you’ll find choices that feel fresh and satisfying. Pairing your meal with a glass of wine or beer only adds to the experience, and when the afternoon sun hits just right, sipping on a crisp wine feels like the perfect way to savor the moment. For coffee lovers, the espresso served here rounds out the meal beautifully, giving you that traditional Italian finish that lingers long after your last bite.
